Pariksha Sangam: CBSE’s exam portal, section by section

Pariksha Sangam is CBSE’s “Comprehensive One Stop Portal For All Exam Activities”. It opens into three sections, Schools (Ganga), Regional Offices (Yamuna) and Head Office (Saraswati). The Schools section groups a school’s exam work into five areas: Exam Reference Material, Pre Exam Activities, Exam Activities, School DigiLocker & Post Exam Activities, and Communication & Integrated Payment System.

What is Pariksha Sangam?

CBSE’s examination portal, styled on the site as “A Comprehensive One Stop Portal For All Exam Activities”, © IT Department CBSE. The entry page presents three tiles named after rivers: Schools (Ganga), Regional Offices (Yamuna) and Head Office (Saraswati). A school works in Ganga; the other two are the board’s own tiers.

What is inside the Schools (Ganga) section?

Five areas, in the portal’s own labels: “Exam Reference Material”, “Pre Exam Activities”, “Exam Activities”, “School Digilocker & Post Exam Activities” and “Communication & Integrated Payment System”. The public listing does not open those areas, the specific items (registration, list of candidates, admit cards, results, practical data, fee payment) sit behind the school login and are announced by CBSE circulars. This guide therefore names the areas and stops; the current-year windows and fees come only from the board.

How should the exam office work with it?

  1. Enter through Schools (Ganga); do not try Yamuna or Saraswati. They are for regional and head office staff.
  2. Treat the five areas as the year’s sequence: reference material → pre-exam (registration and candidate lists) → exam conduct → post-exam and DigiLocker → communication and payments.
  3. Take every date and fee from the CBSE circular for the current session, never from a third-party summary.
  4. Keep the school’s student master, attendance and internal marks reconciled before pre-exam windows open, so the candidate data you enter matches your own records.

What goes wrong, and the fix

A site quotes a registration fee or last date.

The portal’s public pages publish neither. Use the CBSE circular for the session and the school login.

Staff open the wrong section.

Schools use Ganga. Yamuna (regional offices) and Saraswati (head office) are internal to the board.

What Edutris does here, and what it does not

Does

  • Keeps the student master, daily attendance and internal marks the school reconciles before it enters candidate data, and produces CBSE-format report cards from the same records.

Does not

  • Connect to Pariksha Sangam, submit candidate lists, pay fees, or fetch results. Exam work happens in the school’s CBSE login.

Frequently asked questions

Which section does a school use?

Schools (Ganga). Regional Offices (Yamuna) and Head Office (Saraswati) are the board’s own tiers.

Where are the LOC and registration windows?

Inside the Pre Exam Activities area behind the school login, with dates announced by CBSE circular; the public pages publish no dates or fees.

Is there a helpline on the portal?

Not on the public pages; the footer links a CBSE Directory and the website policy.

Does Edutris upload the list of candidates?

No. Edutris keeps the records the office works from; the entries are made in the school’s Pariksha Sangam login.
