Percentage

77.9%

CGPA 8.2 × 9.5

Based on the official CBSE formula: percentage = CGPA × 9.5.

How it's calculated

CGPA to percentage

CBSE’s official formula is percentage = CGPA × 9.5. For example, a CGPA of 8.2 equals 8.2 × 9.5 = 77.9%.

Percentage to CGPA

To go the other way, we invert the formula: CGPA = percentage ÷ 9.5. This gives an indicative CGPA for a known percentage.

Subject-wise note

The ×9.5 multiplier is derived from the average performance of top scorers across five main subjects. It applies to the overall CGPA, not to individual subject grade points.
