Shala Darpan: Rajasthan’s one door to the school-education portals
Integrated ShalaDarpan is the Rajasthan School Education Department’s portal, designed and developed for the Rajasthan Council of School Education by the National Informatics Centre. It is a gateway more than a workspace: it gathers the state’s school-education systems (the Private School Portal, exam portals, Samagra Shiksha, Vidya Samiksha Kendra, sports, NMMS and textbook distribution) behind a School/Office login and a Staff login.
Official portal: rajshaladarpan.rajasthan.gov.in/ · Edutris is an independent software company and is not affiliated with Rajasthan Council of School Education. Verify fees and dates on the official portal before acting.

What is Shala Darpan?
The portal describes itself as developed “to provide information about the School Education Department, Rajasthan”, and states it was “designed and developed for Rajasthan Council of School Education by National Informatics Centre, Rajasthan”. It carries the caution that the documents and information displayed are “only for reference & monitoring purposes”, the operative records live in the specialised systems it links to.
Which portals does it gather, and which one is for a private school?
The homepage lists the Gyan Sankalp Portal, Samagra Shiksha, Sanskrit Education, a Private School Portal, sections for Schools, Staff, Citizens and Students, Vidya Samiksha Kendra, Mission Buniyaad, exam portals for classes 5–8 and the board exams, and systems for sports, NMMS, internships and textbook distribution. A private school’s entry point is the Private School Portal; the homepage does not describe the private-school registration procedure or any fees, so take those from the portal itself or the Jaipur office.
How does a Rajasthan school use it?
- Use the School/Office Login for the institution and the Staff Login for individual staff. They are separate.
- For private-school matters go through the Private School Portal it links; the gateway homepage itself holds no registration workflow.
- For exam work use the class 5–8 or board exam portal listed, not the gateway.
- Keep UDISE+ current, the gateway links to UDISE+ and the state’s systems draw on the same school and student identity.
What goes wrong, and the fix
The office cannot find where to “do” something on Shala Darpan.
It is a gateway. Identify the specialised portal for the task from the homepage list and log in there.
A fee or deadline is quoted from a third-party site.
The gateway publishes none. Confirm with the Jaipur office (0141-2700872) or the specific portal.
What Edutris does here, and what it does not
Does
- Keeps the school’s own student, staff and enrolment records (the same identity the state systems and UDISE+ draw on) in one place.
Does not
- Connect to Shala Darpan or any Rajasthan portal; nothing is uploaded from Edutris.
Frequently asked questions
Is Shala Darpan for government schools only?
The homepage lists a dedicated Private School Portal among the systems it gathers, alongside government-school sections; the procedure for private schools is not described on the gateway itself.
Where are the exam portals?
Linked from the gateway: separate portals for classes 5–8 and for the board examinations.
Is there a helpline?
The homepage prints 0141-2700872 and shaladarpanjpr[at]gmail[dot]com, with the office at Shiksha Sankul, JLN Marg, Jaipur.
Does Edutris integrate with Shala Darpan?
No. Edutris keeps the school’s records; state uploads are done on the state portals by the office.
