Bonafide Certificate Generator
Fill a bonafide certificate in your browser and print it. Enter the student’s details, pick boy or girl, and the wording resolves itself: “son/daughter of” and “his/her date of birth” included. Nothing you type is sent anywhere. Leave a field empty and it prints as the blank it already is, ready to complete at the desk.

Anything you leave empty prints as the blank it already is, so a certificate can be finished by hand at the desk. Nothing you type is sent anywhere. It stays in this browser.
This is a format to adapt, not a prescribed form. No authority publishes a single national wording for this document. Your board, your state and your own school rules decide what it must say and how long you keep the counterfoil, so check yours before you adopt this as your standard.
How this generator works
One source for the wording
The form you see is built from the bonafide format published on our templates page, the same lines, read at page load. That is deliberate: a generator with its own private copy of the text drifts away from the download the moment either is edited, and the office ends up with two versions of the same certificate. Here there is one.
The pronouns, done once
A bonafide certificate carries gendered wording in three places, “son/daughter of”, “His/Her date of birth”, “his/her admission number”. A Word template leaves all three for you to catch, and one missed slash is what makes a certificate look careless. The Student is field resolves every one of them together.
What it deliberately leaves alone
The signature rule and the seal line are untouched, because those belong on paper and no generator should pretend otherwise. Anything you have not filled stays as its blank, so you can print a part-filled certificate and complete the rest by hand, which is how a busy front office actually works.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is a certificate filled in a browser valid?
Its standing comes from the principal’s signature and the school seal, and from the fact that your office can trace the serial number back to its own register, not from how the text was typed. This page produces the text; the signature, the seal and the register entry are still yours to do. Institutions that receive these certificates look for exactly those three things.
Do you keep the student details I type?
No. Every value stays in the page while it is open, and the only thing written to your device is the school letterhead, saved in this browser’s local storage when you press Remember this letterhead, so you do not retype your address on the next certificate. Nothing is transmitted to us, and there is no account, upload or log of what you filled.
Should the certificate name the purpose it was issued for?
It is worth doing. A certificate that says it was issued for a bus-pass application cannot quietly be reused as proof for something the school never vouched for, and the receiving institution can see the certificate was written for it. The format carries a purpose line for that reason; if the parent has not said what it is for, ask before you print.
