AI assistant

What does the AI School Assistant actually do?

The AI reads your school’s own records and produces drafts and recommendations — a weekly principal brief, urgent operational alerts, fee-defaulter risk scoring, attendance anomaly detection, exam weak-area analysis, and drafting for parent replies, reminders, announcements and report-card remarks. A human always reviews and approves; nothing sends itself. AI is included from the Professional plan up and hides quietly on plans without it.

Before you start

  • Check your plan: the AI assistant is included from the Professional plan up. On other plans the AI surfaces stay hidden rather than appearing locked.
  • Decide which roles should use which skills — teachers get lesson-plan and quiz drafting, while the principal’s briefing is leadership-only by design.

Steps

  1. 1

Open the AI Assistant in the principal sidebar (Professional plan and above).

  2. 2

Ask questions grounded in your school’s data, or launch a Skill (lesson plan, quiz, briefing…).

  3. 3

Review the draft it produces — edit, approve and use it; or discard it.

Good to know

  • Everything the AI produces is a draft a human reviews — it never sends a message, publishes a result or changes a record by itself.
  • Answers are grounded in your school’s own records through a server-built snapshot of attendance, fees, admissions and exams — not in generic internet knowledge.
  • Conversations in the AI workspace are private to your school and persist between sessions.
  • The assistant’s lookup tools are read-only: it can search students, fees, attendance, exams and the timetable to answer you, but it cannot edit any of them.
  • It can translate announcement content into regional languages — useful for parent circulars — while the product interface itself is English.

Common questions

Will the AI ever message parents on its own?

No. Every output — a fee reminder, a parent reply, an announcement — is a draft that a staff member reviews, edits and sends (or discards). Nothing sends itself; that is a design rule, not a setting.

Which plans include the AI assistant?

Professional and above. On Starter, the AI features hide quietly — the rest of the product works identically, and upgrading later switches them on without any migration.

Is the interface available in Hindi?

The interface is English today. What the AI can do is translate the content you write — announcements and circulars — into Hindi or another regional language before you send them, so parent communication is not limited to English.
