How do plans, billing and upgrades work?
Pricing is set per tier by student capacity — no per-student charges within a plan. Subscriptions are billed through Razorpay from the org admin workspace, where you can see invoices and change plans; upgrades and downgrades take effect immediately. The AI School Assistant is included from Professional up.
Before you start
- Count your students honestly, including expected admissions — tiers are sized by student capacity, and choosing by this year’s intake avoids a mid-year surprise.
- Decide whether you need the AI assistant — it is the main capability line between Starter and Professional.

Org admin workspace → Subscription shows your plan, invoices and usage.

Choose a new plan to upgrade or downgrade; checkout runs through Razorpay.

Your feature set and AI availability adjust to the new plan instantly.
Good to know
- Pricing is per tier, not per student — within your tier’s capacity the price does not move as admissions grow.

Common questions
What happens when we cross our tier’s student capacity?
You upgrade to the next tier and it takes effect immediately. Because pricing is by capacity band rather than per student, growth within a band costs nothing — the decision point only arrives at the band’s edge.
Do we lose anything if we downgrade?
Your data stays intact — a downgrade adjusts which features are available (most visibly, AI below Professional), not what you have stored. Features that are not in the new plan hide rather than deleting anything.
